Plans for a new 18-hole links course on the Moray Firth near Inverness are expected to be submitted in two months, with construction to begin early next year. The course, which will complement the course at Castle Stuart, will be the first designed by the Arnold Palmer Group in Scotland.

Palmer announced the partnership deal at his invitational tournament in Bay Hill Club, Orlando, Florida. "I have had a strong affection for Scotland since I first went there in 1960 to play in the Open at St. Andrews."

"We have been in discussion for more than a year now with the Arnold Palmer Group," said Mark Parsinen, Castle Stuart's managing partner. "And we are delighted that it has joined the partnership at Castle Stuart Golf Links."
