SUU Students Present Golf Marketing Campaign

     A marketing campaign presented by five Southern Utah University students seeks to attract families to play at the local Cedar Ridge Golf Course. In order to address the reasons why people young and old are not golfing in the same numbers as ten years ago, the students surveyed college-aged individuals, and those in the 35-50 year old age range.

     The results? College students “do not have enough patience to learn the game, didn't know how long it would take to learn to play golf, and [thought] that the game is for the rich and elderly.” Within the 35-50 year old age group the study showed that most were willing to take lessons, but they believed the game was expensive, and mostly played by the rich and snobby.
