2014 STMA “Field of the Year” Recipients

     The Sports Turf Managers Association--consisting of 2,600 professional men and women who manage baseball, football, soccer, softball and other sporting grounds-- announced their “Field of the Year” recipients for 2014.

     Covering grounds at K-12 schools, colleges and professional venues, the association selected fields at each level. The Maryland SoccerPlex Stadium Fields (Boyds, MD), with Ryan Bjorn as director, won the professional category; the Georgia State Soccer Complex at Georgia State University (Atlanta, GA), with Kyle Staton as director, won the collegiate category, and the North Area Athletic Complex Soccer Field in the Jefferson County School District (Golden, CO), with Sun Roesslein and Christi Clay as managers, won for the parks and schools category.
