     Pat Jones' and Darren Davis' presentation “Communicating for Success," given on Tuesday, November, 18th, 2015, outlined the use of social media for golf course superintendents.

     Their take-away points? Develop “clear, simple goals” for what you want to achieve, and make sure everything you post to social media ties back to those goals. The duo, though they focused on different aspects of communication, advocated for the use of multiple platforms, “Different people prefer different platforms, and it’s relatively easy to put your content on each of them.”

     Twitter and Instagram were their picks for currently most important venues, while both were less enthusiastic about Facebook, “Darren and I [Jones] agreed that Facebook has become less useful as a social media outlet.”
