California University Receives Accreditation in Landscape Management

     The Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS), founded in 1911, first launched their accreditation program this July, and in November of this year, they were happy to announce UC Davis as the first program to receive accreditation. According to the PGMS website, “The accreditation program evaluates strategic grounds management principles and practices that produce and guide the delivery of properties to an attractive, healthy, sustainable and high-quality state.” While to other colleges also received accreditation-- the University of Delaware and Wooster College, Ohio-- UC Davis was the first, and the only one to receive four stars (the other colleges received two stars).
